Brad joined The River staff as lead pastor in August of 2010. We are excited to have Brad as our lead pastor because he has brought a great vision to The River for us to be “a relational community that builds friendships to share Jesus with our five-mile radius and beyond”. Our church has seen growth in the lives of people and in the number of people attending.
Brad went to Wheaton College where he earned a B.A. in Speech Communications. He received his MDiv from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School in Deerfield, Illinois.
Brad has communicated to a wide variety of audiences around the world for over 30 years as a pastor and conference speaker. He has spoken multiple times at Willow Creek Community Church services. Additionally, Brad has developed and taught breakouts for the National Coalition of Men’s Ministries as well as for Willow Creek and Saddleback Church conferences. Brad has spoken for numerous men’s retreats across the country and is often a repeat guest. He has pastored large churches in South Carolina and Michigan. Prior to that, he was on staff at Willow Creek Community Church in Chicago as the director of three ministries: Men’s, Sports, and Prayer. Brad also spent nine years in Minnesota planting a church in a small town that reached 500 people for Christ.
Brad and his wife, Heidi, also speak at conferences and retreats about how you can Build Your Marriage. You can find out more information by going to buildyourmarriage.org.
